Gorgeous Read the comments, Gard even gets a mention http://www.bunnybass.com/basses/roscoe_4_aqua/roscoe_4_aqua.shtml
Man, that thing KILLS.... ...if I were a 4-banger, I might not have let Jimmy walk out with that one... It will certainly be an inspiration for my 2nd bass...first is already workin'....
Gard, I seem to see a pattern here. You've now mentioned this bass and the one you sold to Joey "squidbass" as being very special basses. They were both solid swampash bodies. Do you think that there's any truth to the simplicity of the plain swampash bodies adding to the magic of the tone? Oh, and I'm anxiously awaiting to hear about your thoughts on an alder bodied Roscoe.
Damn you Will!!!!! There you go again, flaunting the wood to a new Roscoe on the horizon..... :scowl:
One thing's for sure, it sure show's off the nice ash grain and creates a beautiful Roscoe without having to layout the extra cash for an exotic top! I think Basso Gruvitas is close to pulling the trigger on a Roscoe with the enhanced ash grain............... Sweeeeeeeet bass!
This one is hot as well............ http://www.bunnybass.com/basses/roscoe_6_quiltmaple/roscoe_6_quiltmaple.shtml
I have always loved the look of natural swamp ash but for my Roscoe, I toped it with a beautiful exhib. grade quilted maple. Anyway, a all swamp ash Roscoe body should sound great and have killer look ! Shiveringbass, bassist for Shivering
Wow, how did half a month go by without me noticing this thread??!! That aqua bass really turned out nice! I don't know if I would have chosen that fingerboard, but you gotta do something different sometimes.... Gard told me the same thing about Joey Squid's all-ash bass. Makes you kinda............get a little................ GAS!!!
J-O-H-N!!! Better late than never! So you ashed Gard what he thought about the all ash Roscoe and he said it kick ash!!!???!!!
Well, sometime in the not too distant future, deichman will be getting his Imbuia/Alder SKB 3005....I'm sure he will be quite happy to fill you in!
