I am reluctantly selling my 1997 Roscoe SKB 3007 bass as I just don't play it enough and I need the money. 35" Scale 24 Frets String spacing for all 7 strings: 2 3/8" at the nut 3 3/4" at the 24th fret (Do the math to get the spacing between strings) Bartolini pickups and electronics (so sweet) The bass has a few scratches in the finish on the back (pictured) and some cloudiness on the headstock which you can see in the pics. Both are cosmetic issues that don't affect playability. The action and Bartolini electronics/pickups are amazing. . If you’ve never played a Roscoe, do it. If you have, you’ll know how amazing this bass sounds. The bass comes with a well padded levy's bag/case and new Circle K strings. I have it tuned BEADGCF and the action is perfect so I doubt that you’ll have to get any adjustment from your local luthier.

An amazing bass for $2500 shipped! If that's beyond your reach, make me a reasonable offer!

Nice. Times must be bad that this hasn't sold yet.
I play Roscoe 7's so I don't need another one, but I have a few questions.
    What are the body woods?
What's the serial number? I can't quite read it.
Is the nut original? It doesn't have the usual rounded edges.
    Thanks, and good luck.

Hmmm...I'll guess Walnut top, with a Spanish Cedar back.

    Hi Active,

Serial number is 3949. Unfortunately Gard doesn't have much info on basses before #5000. Love your playing. :)

Thanks for the compliment, my friend. I couldn't do it on anything but a Roscoe. They designed the perfect cross between a standard guitar and a bass with the SKB-3007. Too bad they're so rare. If more players could get their hands on one, I'm sure they would become more popular.

Thanks!:) Wow! 0nly $1950 shipped. What a deal!

  11. Would love to help you out by picking this up - but seeing how I only played 2 gigs this year, and one of them was a freebee, this axe would become a weapon if it showed up on my doorstep...

Best wishes to you for a quick sale!

Thanks all for your comments. It IS an awesome bass and the price is moving ever lower. I guess whoever jumps in first with a reasonable price gets it.

    Best of luck to all,

    Scott

    PRICE REDUCTION - $1700 SHIPPED!!!

This is a steal! The neck alone is worth more than that. :meh:
I'd buy this but I already own 3 Roscoe 7's, and I don't want to hog such a rare instrument. :crying:
The economy is terrible and paying gigs are almost none existent. So if you're a player that's bored with playing to recordings, here's an instrument that let's you play both bass and guitar parts. More strings = more music.

How do these balance on the strap? It looks like it might be neck heavy.

    Thanks

I don't know about this one, but all of my Roscoe's are perfectly balanced. The SKB body is smaller than most basses, and the upper horn is relatively short. So some players don't like where the bass hangs.
