About this bass: A few years ago, Gard posted pictures of some wood on Facebook, saying he had enough to do one thick top bass, and one Standard Plus. I knew I had to have it, but wasn't sure what I wanted as far as instruments went. I finally decided I really wanted to hear Roscoe's take on the MusicMan design. They didn't offer that option at the time, but said they'd do it if I provided the pickup. Long story short, the day this bass was finished was the day that a MM pickup became an option from Roscoe. So here it is, the very first Roscoe MM styled bass. Selling because I really miss having a fretless, and I have another Roscoe with MM/J pickups.

    Mahogany body
    Monkey Pod top
    Birdseye Maple fingerboard
    Seymore Duncan Alnico V pickup
    Aguilar OBP-1 preamp
Black hardware (also the first Standard Plus with black hardware)
There is a bit of buckle rash in one spot on the back of the bass (I can text you pics if you're serious)

This bass is *aggressive!* I mean, it's mean. You know those sound guys that can screw up and bury any bass tone? This bass is their Kryptonite - they just can't bury this guy. 337762_10150624994818164_1899479275_o. 329954_10150624998788164_22604489_o.

    And a sound clip:

Price is 2000 shipped with a gig bag. Trades - 5 string fretless of similar value or plus cash from you. Roscoe fretless Standard Pluses to the front of the line.

I’ve heard this bass in person. To say that it’s one of the good ones would be an understatement. Whoever gets this will not be disappointed.

    35"
    18.3mm (standard Roscoe)
I'm not sure of the weight, but it's not an anchor. I'll see if I can get it weighed.
