I bought this exceptional bass from TBer Campbeans in Dec. 2017. It is exactly as described. Gorgeous cocobolo top, lightweight @ 8.3 lbs., swamp ash body, 3 piece maple neck, wenge board, natural oil finish, Aguilar 5P-60 neck and 5JHC bridge pickups, Aguilar 2 band OBP-1 boost only pre amp, Hipshot bridge, Gotoh tuners, Dunlop strap locks. Exceptional bass in pristine condition. I would love to keep her but my dream US Spector Coda 5 just became available and I could not resist. So, up for sale she goes. I paid $2200 plus another $100 for shipping. Price is $2200 and shipping is on me in continental US. Will not ship outside conus. Sorry, no trades. Hard to find a better bass that looks , sounds and feels like this at this price point. Bass is exactly the same as shown in original {}
This is as good as any Roscoe bass I've owned and the P/J Aguilar setup is amazing. Whoever get's it will love it. If I hadn't just purchased 2 new basses I would buy it back. I hope the OP doesn't mind but I added a couple more pics that show the amazing woods used on this beauty. {} {} {} {} {}
My answer to a PJ 5 string with a Roscoe neck, not a traditional radius neck. Now if I had $2,200...and didn’t want a Roscoe fretless...
I’ve been lusting after this bass for some time. I believe this can be used in either passive or active correct?
That certainly is a looker! That coco top makes want to go “coo-coo for coco”!!! Always wanted to try a PJ Roscoe. Roscoe has by far my favorite neck! GLWTS
I agree. Get your "old school P/J" but with the lovely and familiar feel of the Roscoe 5 string neck.
Pretty sure not even your dream bass is worth the terror of a women scorned. That is the reason this bass is for sale - I promised to cover the cost of my dream bass with the sale of the best of my basses.
She’s been really good throughout my bass journey. She’s just at a point (as am I really) where I should just sit with the great bass I have. As much as I love this bass, if I got another Roscoe it’d probably be a fretless to use at church, and maybe for jazz gigs.
I designed this bass originally (among a number of others) with my former business. I picked everything by hand and I can attest it’s an amazing Roscoe.
