Hi everyone, half of you probably don't know who I am since I don't post that often. But I've decided to change my TB username to my real name. Enough of this "Rosencrantz" nonsense, I'm starting to think that name was kind of silly. The name was a joke from high school and I think I've outgrown it at this point, having been out of high school for nearly two years.

There you go. That's my announcement. Coming soon: New username.

Too late, I already emailed Paul to change it :smug:

I never really liked it. I never even played that part, even though I did Shakespeare in high school several times.

Bonus points to anyone who can guess what my last name is before it becomes part of my username. It's Italian with four syllables and starts with M and ends with o.

    i love rosencrantz and guildenstern.
did you ever see the play or the independent film made called "Rosencrantz and Guildenstern Are Dead"?
    it's SO good :D

"R&G inhabit a world completely beyond their comprehension. Unsure of where they are going (and even of who they are and where they come from), they depend upon others to give their lives meaning. While awaiting instructions, they fall back upon games -- word play and simple wagers -- that rarely achieve their intended goals."

"Two minor characters from the play, "Hamlet" stumble around unaware of their scripted lives and unable to deviate from them"

my favourite line - "Between "just desserts" and "tragic irony" we are given quite a lot of scope for our particular talent.Generally speaking, things have gone about as far as they can possibly go when things have got about as bad as they reasonably get" :D :D

another great bit is where guildenstern flips a coin 87 times when they're first walking to elsinore and it lands on tails every time.

    i sound like such a geek :(

I've never seen the play or the film but I read it in high school English class (right after reading Hamlet).

Are you any relation to the Maniscalcos who had the pizza restaurant in Lakeside in the '60s?

Very good! Was that a guess or did you find it?

I actually posed the original question without realizing that my AIM name (containing my last name) was in my TalkBass profile.

    I don't think so.
