Rosewood Precision Bass?

    I know Fender made all-rosewood telecasters back in the day, but did they ever make a rosewood bass, specifically, a precision?
    It gave me this great idea: an all-rosewood precision bass, vintage-style neck and pickup, black pg, but with a brass nut, and a… wait for it… snakewood fingerboard!

    Would the custom shop be able to do this for me, or will I have to take this one to a luthier?

    Fender CS would make that bass for you. Of course, they'd charge you $8,000 to do it.

    Not a P but I got this body from Warmoth, other than that it's an 04 standard fretless. It's chambered otherwise it would be one insanely heavy bass! (it's my heaviest as it stands) I should take a better picture of it someday.... wasn't cheap and not totally sure why I did it (I was working in the arctic when I caved and ordered it... sure looks nice)

    Closest thing I can recall would be the '82-'83 Precision Walnut Specials. I had one, very nice bass.
