Hey, wondering if anyone has ever played the rotosound 88 black tapewounds... They look like they would be super mellow... Definetly a heavy gauge, so I'm ok with some nut work. Anyway just curious if any one has played these on a fretless... It would be for a P bass on an ebony board... Thanks

Yes, they are nice and dark. I've grown to like the LaBella's more as they are a bit more articulate, but the Rotos are nice.

Ok true... I haven't seen the labellas at the music store I go to... Is there a good site for strings online?

The 88's have the reputation for having the most woody acoustic sound. They play very easily despite their size also.
