Hi guys, I'm in need of advice. I have bought new set of RS 66 Swing Bass nickel strings less than a month ago. Yesterday during quiet rehearsal with acoustic gitar, D string on my bass broke. This is something I wouldn't expect from a new set of strings. Before this, I used only stainless strings, but nickels sound far, far better. I guess it is not nut because this was 6th set of strings since I bought this bass. Previous set has lasted almost a year. Is there problem with all nickel strings or I just got a bad set? I ask because I would like to buy same strings again (there is not much choice where I live, just Fender, Yamaha and Rotosound) but I just can't afford another broken string. Thank you!

  2. I used to use Rotosound but switched to D'addario nickels about 4 years ago. I have NEVER had a broken string while using nickels ( and believe me, a set lasts me a good while :) :) )

I'm assuming you must have got a "bad" set/string. :bawl: :bawl:

    Hope you get it sorted.
