Rough patch on G string - Evah Weich

Hi folks,

I just ordered a new set of Evah Pirazzi Weichs after striking out with everything that's already in my string drawer. The bottom three strings all feel fine, but the G string has a noticeably grainier feeling under the left hand, and about 1/3rd of the way down from the nut, there is a particularly rough patch. Rough enough that I feel it (and hear it) every time I shift through the area. Has anyone else experienced this with brand new strings or with Evahs in particular? I'm wondering if this is a manufacturing defect worth complaining about.
