I've never once played with a set of roundwounds. What are the tonal differences and why are they bad on the fingerboard.

Brighter and clearer with a bit of a zing at slap and hard plucking. Rounds only damage fretless boards as far as I know...
  3. Ditto to what mutantbassit said.

I'd like to add that sustain is noticeably increased, and suddenly your treble control will seem as though it goes to 15 instead of 10.

You'll also notice finger noise similar to that which your hear on a Spanish classical guitar.

The wallpaper comes with the house. ;)

    Try a set.
