    RS Guitarworks/Warmoth P Bass

My precious, my main workhorse bass for the last two years, used on my band's last album exclusively. Why am I selling it? Well, I have a new custom bass coming and this unfortunately needs to go. This is a beautiful P bass built in the same vein as the 1959 Fender P Bass - sunburst, gold anodized guard, and a dark fretboard. This thing is MEAN! The wenge neck just goes on forever, super fast and fun (plus the dark color matches the sunburst really well on the back). I asked Roy at RS Guitarworks nicely to sell me one of their well made bodies with an amazing checked sunburst finish, then received the neck from Warmoth as a match to my custom. I had Andrew at Drake Custom Bass put this whole thing together for me and do my buzzard headstock shape. Andrew builds all of my custom basses and is a true craftsman.

    Specs:
-RS Guitarworks Alder body, finished in nitro 2-tone sunburst and a light relic from them (mostly checking)
-Warmoth Wenge/Bubinga Jazz Width Neck, "buzzard" headstock shape (gorgeous Bubinga!!!)
-Hipshot Hardware, ultralite tuners and a Fender spec B bridge
    -Dunlop Dual Design straplock buttons
-Between 8.5 and 9 pounds, LIGHT!
-Curtis Novak PB-90 pickup (my favorite, I have another bass with it installed!)

    Issues:
-None really to speak of outside of a scratch in the back and a slight nick beside it on the bout (in photos)

Price: $800 shipped to the CONUS
    NO TRADES

Wow. I'm not a fan of anything other than maple on a Precision but that looks super nice. That burst is perfect and you're right, the back with the Wenge is cool. The minimal red & black in the burst is the right thickness.
I'm looking for P right now and the price (I've added up the parts in my head) isn't bad for a custom piece. I'll come back around.

I know it's VT but do you know the components ? CTS, Switchcraft etc ? The rest looks like Fender parts.
Case or bag ? Just curious.

I believe my luthier uses CTS pots and Switchcraft jacks, the pickguard is a Fender along with the thumb rest.

It'll come in a case, Fender shaped.

What's the wenge do for the tone?

More focus to the sound, better suiting it for rock tones. Wenge adds a bit of natural compression to the tone when compared to maple.

Great for everything, imo. Awesome necks for slapping.
