Hi all, I found that my Rumble 25 was easily loud enough to play in a jazz ensemble with 30+ people. The bass amp at the school only has one input, so the senior gets that, and i use my rumble. With the volume a little bellow 3/4, the bass is just as loud as everyone else, if not more...

Can anyone let me know if my bass will blow out if i turn up the volume too high?

    Thanks

Just listen to the amp, if it remains clean then you are O.K. If you get to a point where the gain doesn't make things louder and causes farting/break-up just back it off.
    I have a 25, it's surprisingly powerful!

    Yeah it is real loud....

  4. I play through a 25 Watts Ampeg and find that power appropriate for most venues but YMMV. When more is required, a line out comes in handy.

I bought a V3 Rumble 25 to leave at my guitarist's house to work up new tunes together. The little 8" woofer is very mid forward as the mid-range is what it does best, and has good highs too. I run the volume right at 2 o'clock or about 2/3rds. That's where this combo is happiest. Bass is slightly boosted at 1 o'clock. Both the mids & treble are cut to even out the tone and I run both at 10 o'clock. I find this to be an excellent all purpose tone & volume setting.
