i have an ampeg svt3pro and an ampeg 410hlf and i was wondering if it would be to my benefit to pick up a 610 cabinet or should i just stick with another 410hlf? id have to series is with speakons, my only concern is if my amp could push it hard enough? has anyone tried this setup before?:meh:

While adding speaker area does increase volume, you should think about getting a new head or adding a power amp onto the 3-Pro. Those heads are pretty underpowered, and I hate using them. They sound good enough at low volume, but they have no headroom. That said, if you wire 2 cabs in series you are going to be losing power from the head.

  3. I have an svt 3 and to me it wouldn't make much sense. If you're really thumping the hlf cab I doubt you'd be able to do much more with the addition of a 610. I wouldn't recommend it. You can always go my route and ditch the single 610 to upgrade it to the 810. Never been happier with a set-up, and having a minor wall of power in a single cabinet really makes you feel good. If only being loud made me play better...
