Running a solid state/Class D TC BH250 without a speaker load - bad idea?

Hi,

I used the search function but didn't find anything on this particular amp, so I have to ask...

Can a class-D amp like the TC Electronic BH250 run without a speaker load? I know that doing so with, say, tube amps is an definite no-no, but I'm not sure about solid state. Any advice?

I want to do the firmware and toneprint app updates, but I don't have a speaker cab handy (I typically use house backline speakers for gigs).
