I was thinking of maybe getting another amp to get some higher frequencies off my fender bxr amp, its got one 12" speaker and got a good amount of volume but i might like better sounding treble, would it be possible to run a small cabnet off it?

i was actually thinking of recording my bass from a 2x10 mic'd up, with the head/amp being an ampeg reverb-rocket. guitar tube amp, bass cab.

as long as the ohms match, there should be no problem.

but umm.. if you have to cut and spice wires, its kinda not gigable. just an fyi.
