    I mean, he uses 2 Ampeg 8x10 cabs... With only 2 SVT-2 Pro's? That's 300 watts into an 800 watt cab... Weird...
Which does he use, the SVT2 or SVT4?
Heres a pic of his setup from: http://www.guitargeeks.com :

  2. that's actually an Ampeg SVT-AV

Hey another guitar geek. HIGH FIVE!

and it looks like it says SVT-II

but if you consider most of the time its getting mic'd up, 350 is more than enough, and if theyre playing clubs, thats still more than enough. He could just like the sound of the cabinets.

But that's 300W from a valve amp - there aren't many valve amps with more power than that.

  6. Bass Player did a coverstory on Ryan Martinie a couple of months ago.

His gear setup is quite correct (on Guitargeek). Bass Player said that Ryan uses the SVT-4 as his main live-amp, with the SVT-2 as a backup.

In the studio he uses both of them, as wel as a guitarcab (Mesa 4x12) for added midrange (!).
