In today's Boston Globe there is an article stating that Ryles, a jazz club located in Inman Square in Cambridge (across the Charles River from Boston) is closing it's doors at the end of July. The property is now up for sale and the family that has owned it for the last 25 years will continue to operate their restaurant next door which has been ioen over 100 years. Ryles has supported local talent for 40 years since it was opened by original owner Jack Reilly.
Bummer. This is a tough area for venues. I end up playing enough but I would hate to be a young musician starting out here!
