    hey all!
I did this mod to my MIM fender jazz last night, figured that since i couldn't find a good howto anywhere I'd write one.

Check it out, let me know what you think!

As for the sound, it definitely added some thump to my jazz.
I'm pretty happy with the results, and I had fun doing it too.

(feel free to move this if it's in the wrong forum, wasn't sure.)

I'm guessing this is going off to Pickups..... IBTM?

Might want to do an edit to mention that when switched to Series, one of the vol pots (the bridge pot in your diagram) will go dead.... the folks who would follow your procedure might not be expecting that, and they may think something went wrong.....

Apart from that minor comment... good job!

so both pups will be controles by the same vol pot?
i set my jazz to have a master vol and a 3 way pup selection switch: what if i do the mod?

you'd have a fun time wiring this. ^_^

you could still do it, just wire the s1 switch in to the setup between your pickups and your current switch. your three-way switch would only work when the s1 switch was set to the passthrough position.
Where it says to wire to the pots, you'd wire to the equivalent position on your three-way.

good point, forgot to note that. ^_^
    fixed it.
