I have a mod done to the sabddi which gives it more boost to drive a poweramp. Since this mod has been done is it still useable to DI?

I have a gig coming up and I would like to use it as a DI, but not sure if its still able to perform that function.

Yes it still can do it, although signal will be hotter than it should.
This mod is useless anyway. Just use the jack output if you don't want attenuation.

I drive large Eden poweramps with just a SansAmp Programmable Bass Driver all the time. No need for a mod to increase output. It puts out plenty.

hmmm... well, this is the older unit that only has "instrument level" output. The newer ones, such as the programmable one, have a switch that allows the user to boost 1/4" out to 0dbv. The mod on the older one gives it the boost.

If the DI signal is hotter (but still operable) with the mod, then the soundman will just make the necessary adjustments, I suppose.
