I have a bass that I've set up as a piccolo and I'm having an issue with my D string buzzing at the saddle. It isn't the frets or neck relief or nut or anything. I've tested all of those. It originates at the bridge on the saddle. As I'm using a set D'Addario piccolo gauge strings, the D is the only one that isn't wound and I'm wondering if that may have something to do with it. Anybody deal with this successfully?
I don't know it this has anything to do with anything but some times it's the springs in the saddle on my Fender. I just kind of push on it and it shuts up. But I don't know if that's what's going on with yours
Hmm. Springs do look a little old. Maybe they're too squished and could use replacing? Thanks for the input!
