At long last, here are some shots of my new 25th Anniversary!

    [Edit: See Juneau's post, below.]

As you might be able to tell in some of the shots, I haven't even taken off the protective coating yet! But needless to say, this one ain't going back! :p

So far, my playing time with this bass is limited to some time with my Phil Jones Briefcase (and some unplugged jamming), but even so, I can already tell why there are so many Sadowsky fans out there! This bass plays like a dream, and the tone is really full and authoritative. One thing I have noticed is that more than any other bass I have played, you can really change the tone depending on where you pluck the strings. I think I like the tone I get from playing off the end of the fingerboard the best, but playing over either pickup yields additional options. All tones are very useable, and it is amazing to get such a variety of options "just" from hand position. ;)

I had mine wired Volume, Volume, and I am glad I did. By backing off slightly on one or the other of the pickup volumes, I can get yet another set of killer tones. Initial preferences are either with both volumes all the way up, or with the bridge pickup backed off slightly.

The only problem is, that now I need to buy another Sadowsky to play out with! I really do want to keep this one in pristine condition.

    Take care, Tom.

For whatever reason, when I post photos to Blogger (via the Hello bot), and I link to them, they sometimes work and sometimes don't. I have no idea how to fix this. :meh: And for whatever reason, I can't upload photos to TalkBass.com right now.

Can you see them if you go to my blog (see signature)?

BTW Tom, I couldnt see them. Then I went to your Blog and viewed them, then they showed up on TB, not sure why that is, maybe some permissions thing with cookies or something.

Anyhow, feel free to use the links to the ones I posted, that are hosted at my office.

Beautiful, Mr. Boulus, much congratulations, Why do I get the feeling that between Tom and Big Mike the supply of Sadowsky's is going to suddenly plummet? :p

Exstatic doesn't come close to describing how I feel! :) This is, literally, a dream come true. I have wanted a Sadowsky for over 14 years, but I really wanted a mahogany body. When I heard about the 25th Anniversary basses, I knew I had to get one!

    Awesome Sad, Man!

That bass deserves to be played, though.

You might have to gig bag it between sets (protection from cruel, dumb animals), but I bet it was born to groove.

    Turn it loose!

    Congratulations!
