Sadowsky basses... where's the electronics?

Where are the preamp board + battery placed in a Sadowsky 4-string (one that has a pickguard and control plate)? Do they have a separate cavity for the battery/battery box? Or does everything (incl pots) live nicely beneath the standard Jazz Bass control plate?

Reason I ask is that I'm thinking about puttin' the Sadowsky pre in my Fender Jazz, and I'm curious where everything goes in a stock Sadowsky bass...

    Thanks!

You'll need a little extra room to fit active electronics into your jazz (unless your jazz bass already has a rear route control cavity). The preamp, battery, and controls/pots will not fit in the existing routes for a passive jazz.
