Has anyone tried the new Sadowsky flatwounds yet?

I play mostly Pop and Motown and some reviews have said these strings are excellent for this type of music.

I've currently got a set of nickle SIT's on my bass but the sound is a little too high for me.

I ordered a set of 40 guage today from Sadowsky. They said they had sold a lot of 40's for 4-string but haven't sold any flatwounds yet for a 5-string (said I would be their first customer). I'm gonna put 'em on my G&L L2500 (34 inch) and see what they sound like.

I'd appreciate any replies & suggestions from anyone who has tried these strings, even if on a 4-string.

I'll post my comments about them when they arrive and I get a feel for them.

    Thanks!
