Well after searching high and low for a bass that is reasonably affordable and excellent quality, and has that sound....i was about to get a Fender MIA but decided on waiting for the Sadowsky Metro.

Everything about it sounds appealing, same build components as the NYC Sadowsky's but less options/customizability. Although the pre-built ones do have enough variety to let you get what you want.
I may go with Bass Northwest for my pre-order anyone else getting one somewhere, and if so where ?

    I have one.

So does bikeplate. We have a couple of the NAMM show basses.

Sadowsky seems like a good company to go with as far as consistency of quality. The Metro's will all likely be very good basses. personally I would save up the extra $1000 or $1200 and go with a Sadowsky NYC because they are lighter and will have better re-sale value

that said, most likely Used Metros (when that starts to happen) will be an extremely good deal on basses, if you are going for that Active bass sound

I'm curious how you'd figure that the resale will be better on the NYC's rather than the Metro's. The Metros aren't even out yet, so there's no way to judge what the market is willing to bare on them used. The NYC's have had a good resale because there is a high demand and nothing else in the Sadowsky to line to compete with it until now. If anything, I'd figure that you'd loose less on the Metro than if you were to buy a NYC new simply because the initial investment is much lower. The Metros may even be so good, and such a hit that the NYC demand may even drop as a result.

I think I want one bad. I just have to decide how long I can go without food to come up with the greenstamps to buy one. I want to see the initial feedback on the first one's when they get here and then I will probably order mine through Bass Emporium.
