2001 Sadowsky NYC 5-24 (USA) I am the original owner. It has Nordstrand Big Splits pups and the Vintage tone kit. I still have the Sadowsky pups. Plek'd by Mike Lull couple of years ago. It is very easy to play since the string height is low without audible buzz. It is light weight (8.0 pounds!) compared to my jazz basses. Only reason to sell is I've switched back to 4 strings. Much nicer to my hands/wrist. 2018-10-07 18.43.23 by Jakeahearts posted Oct 26, 2018 at 6:52 AM 2018-10-07 18.42.15 by Jakeahearts posted Oct 26, 2018 at 6:52 AM 2018-10-07 18.42.08 by Jakeahearts posted Oct 26, 2018 at 6:52 AM 2018-10-07 18.41.57 by Jakeahearts posted Oct 26, 2018 at 6:52 AM 2018-10-07 18.41.34 by Jakeahearts posted Oct 26, 2018 at 6:52 AM 2018-10-07 18.41.14 by Jakeahearts posted Oct 26, 2018 at 6:52 AM
Just checked with Carl at Sadowsky it's a ash body with a quilted maple top the fingerboard is pau ferro.
I've been asked to describe the condition... There's a nick on the neck: This happened several years ago. There are some scratches on the top of the head (like most basses). I had it plek'd after the neck scratch to make sure the integrity of the neck was ok. I didn't try to have the scratch smoothed out or anything since it in no way affected playability and I don't feel it when I play. The price is not as much as most NYC Sadowskys due to the scratch. No other visible marks. Eddy {}
Love that bass! I had one that looked almost identical to yours back in the early 2000s. Does yours have the 1.75" or the 1.875" nut width?
