I'm bummed I have to do this but bills are piling up because of the Covid BS. I received this back in March right before the gigs dried up. It's a honey, no doubt. Chambered ash body in white see through Mary Kaye finish with a brazilian RW fingerboard. Single coil PU's in 60's position and the most awesome 1 3/4" nut. The 1 7/8" nuts on most Sadowsky's always felt a little wide for me. This Will Lee size is just right. It weighs in at just over 8 lbs. It's the best of both worlds tone-wise. You can get a great slap tone with the preamp but it doesn't have the brittleness of a maple board. I love this combo and have it on another J bass which had been my go to for many years. It really shines on the modern fingerstyle sound. If I didn't need the cash I would keep it for sure. I'll give it a good lookyloo later to make sure I disclose any dings but it's as close to mint as any bass I've ever owned. Comes with a nice Sadowsky portabag. $4k shipped anywhere in the lower 48. I'll split shipping to Alaska or Hawaii. No trades. I need the dough.
Yep - agree with others. Beautiful and great configuration. If I hadn't just bought a custom Z3 it would be tough to turn this down.

I looked it over carefully and I can't find a ding anywhere. Nothing. Pretty incredible for 5-6 year old bass. I doubt it was played much at all. there is some swirling on the pickguard but that's it. I weighed it on the bathroom scale. 8.3 lbs. perfect balance and easy on the back. I played my first gig back with it last night at a wedding. I was able to get all the sounds I needed from motown to top 40. I havent been practicing much during the layoff so I was a little nervous as to how my fingers would react to full nights worth of playing. This bass felt like an old friend. If it wasn't worth so much damn money I wouldn't sell it. F#$%^g Covid. I'll reach out to Sadowsky tomorrow to get some answers to your PM requests. 19mm string spacing at the bridge.
To clarify, the bass for sale is not a Will Lee model, it simply has the same 1.75” nut width as a Will Lee 5-string (as opposed to the regular 1.875” nut width). No doubt a fantastic bass either way and the 1.75” nut is super comfortable. GLWTS, OP.
Correct. This bass has the 1 3/4" nut which is unusual for the NYC basses. Most are 1 7/8". This is not a Will Lee model. It has the regular Sadowsky preamp without the mid switch found on the Will Lee basses. Still waiting to hear from Roger on the particulars of the bass.
