It's another addition of 'ElMon sells a perfectly awesome Sadowsky'.

This PJ5 I originally bought used off of Roger's site. I held onto it for a bit and then sold it to a friend of mine so I could get into an alder/braz rw Sadowsky PJ5. In the interim, my friend (super talented guy named Justin with a band called No Justice) gigged the CRAP out of this bass. It has a ding or two on the edge of the fretboard, and a nice scratch on the back of the neck where a roady dragged it across something and which you can't feel when playing. Otherwise the neck is straight, the finish is unblemished and it's in great shape.

Weighs in at 8.6 lbs, and I'll be shipping it in an FBass Gig Bag.

Not looking for trades and not into shipping internationally. No offense to any of you fine folks, just not worth the convolution.

Looking for UPDATED: $2900 shipped to CONTL US. NO trades!! Price FIRM!!!

Thanks! I plan on putting this $$ into a new build with Mike Tobias. MTD 634 (34" Scale) and I'm trying to convince him to put an Aguilar 3Band Pre in there instead of the Bart Pre.
Year after I plan on getting a duplicate of this fretless Sadowsky, but fretted and with blocks on the board.

Do not. I traded it to the guy in No Justice for this one.

Forgive me for asking the obvious, but the fretted bass in the above photos is the one you're selling, while the fretless is the one you're eventually wanting to duplicate, correct? I saw that fretless and was like, hubba, hubba... though the fretted is nice, too. :)

You are correct. Fretless is staying (wipe the drool off of your keyboard!!!) and the Fretted can enjoy a new home.

Well, I didn't actually drool on anything, but the photo of the fretless was the first thing I saw and I did feel a certain yen to play it -- I like fretless (note the fretless P in my avatar), and saw everything subsequently in terms of that. I had to read your post two or three times just to realize that the fretless was NOT up for sale!

Speaking of which, good luck with yours (your sale, that is)!

Reserving the right to 'come to my damn senses' for the time being. Heard some promising info at work and might be able to do the MTD thing without having to sell what is truly a tone-monster. Need to get hip to the 'add to the stable without letting anything go camp'.

    Back on the Block!!!!!

    Few things:

    1) The fretless is NOT for sale. There was some confusion about this even though the title of the thread is pretty clear. Just wanted to post about how that fretless really 'changed the game'.

    2) Not looking for trades or international deals. Sorry.

    3) I have a local deal pending that may or may not go through. I just told that guy that IF the occasion ever arose that he'd have first crack at it.

Wanted to get some of you folks lining up either way!!!

    Luke

Replied, and I should mention that the VTC pot is a little bit scratchy. Has some 'cheese' on it from the road dog who had it last.
