I managed to get a Sadowsky Outboard Preamp, the old style not the current pedal box type.

The output seems very low even with a new 9volt battery - I have to set the amp volume controls much higher to get the same volume without the preamp.

Is this a problem, is something wrong? I thought solid-state technology was pretty bombproof?

maybe something wrong with a switch. you should call Nino-Brown or PM him. he works for Sadowsky.
