Sadowsky P-J wiring

Discussion in 'Pickups & Electronics [BG]' started by Rebo213, Sep 10, 2008.

  1. Hi all,
    I´ve recently purchased some P-J humcancelling sadowsky pickups. I´m going to install it on a passive bass with the classic vol-vol-tone configuration, until I make a new one with a preamp. The problem is, I´ve got too much wiring on the P pickup, I suppose due to the humcancelling thing. In http://www.sadowsky.com/media/download/wiring_diagrams/pickup_wiring.pdf they mention only two cables, white and black. There´s another grey cable in each P pickup and also one green in one and red in the other.
    What can I do? I supposed I´ve got to put together both the greys and red+green, but I´ve got horrible sound and hum noise.
    Thanks

    The Black and white go together and isolate them
    Red is Hot
    Green and Gray are Ground

  3. Ok, so why they said:
    P PICKUP:
    White = Hot • Black = Ground?
