Sadowsky pickguard options

Discussion in 'Basses [BG]' started by Biker4Him, May 5, 2006.

  1. Excuse the very bad pictures. But I need some help.

I just got this awesome Sadowsky PJ5.

I changed the PUP configuration and I think I'm going to leave it like it is now. I just need help trying to decide which pickguard I like best. What do ya'll think???

Definitely the mint. Something about tort and green that makes me want to throw up.

BTW, I am going to have a tort made for my Caramel Burst! So, if you decide you are going to stick with the mint(white) let me know and I'll take the Tort off your hands (if it fits). It should look just like this but with a Maple board.

I LOVE that color. Not sure why but I really dig it.

I will probably order one jsut like this one, Alder/MapleReverse P, and change one of my other PJ5's to a JJ.
  3. The tort looks better in person than in the pics.. but the mint just looks classic!!

As much as you've been talking about that alder/maple PJ5 you'd better hurry up and get ya one.!!:D

That green Sadowsky looks great, I dig mint more.

But if you have the option, why not change it up ever so and so weeks or months?

(This might not be practical depending on your circumstances/personality type.)

I'll take a mint (not that i need one).
  14. Well for now I'm sticking with the mint. But I think I'll hang on to the tort for a while in case I do feel like changing it up.

    Thanks for the input guys.
  15. I like the tort, but what do I know.

as soon as I saw the serial number I knew whose it was.

I still want to know who owns this one
  18. I agree with Mike's first post, as well as the rest of the posters: The tort on the green sparkle is strangely nauseating, but the mint is just, well, hawt.

I'll go with the mint also.
What's the name of the color of the bass? I would say a teal green metallic but i don't if Sadowsky uses that name. Does anyone know if they make a Metro MV5 in that color or is it reserved for NYC?
I use to own a Sad RS-5'er with humbucker pu. Does the PJ sound very different?
  20. I believe Sadowsky does call it "Teal Green Metallic". And I do not think it's available on the Metro series, but I could be wrong.

I used to have a MV5 and yes, this bass sounds a LOT different than that bass. I prefer the PJ.

I may be wrong about this as well.. but I think I've heard rumors that there will soon be a PJ metro series. Maybe someone more in the know could verify that.
