Sadowsky Preamp DI ?????

Discussion in 'Effects [BG]' started by Tom Neves, Aug 18, 2005.

  1. What do you guys think?
Would it be redundent to have the outboard preamp with a Sadowsky Bass that has the preamp with the VTC?
I have other basses I could use it with, but what do you all think?

I absolutely love my Sad. DI pedal. I use it with my Sadowsky bass bypassed as a DI, and I use it on my passive basses with the pedal engaged, it really wakes up passive basses, i.e. your old Fenders. I also love the Mute function, no more killing the FOH guy when you unplug your bass.

well as long as you have other basses to use it with, because as far as i know the outboard preamp is exactly the same as the one in your sadowsky bass.

    It is the same.

Like Xan says, I think it would be pretty redundant if you already have this preamp onboard your bass. If you do have multiple basses, then it might be useful for you
