Hello. Anyone who has played both of these basses tell me how they compare? I've played the Fender Marcus Miller Jazz bass made in Japan, but have not played a Sadowsky. Can anyone comment that has played both? Thanks in advance. Matt
There is no comparison...I've played both! Fender Marcus with J-retro and the regular Fender Marcus. You'll not get the "Marcus" tone from the Fenders...The Sadowsky Tokyo is the Fender on steroid...on steroid price too...but you get what you pay for..and the "Marcus" tone too. Find a used Tokyo and you are all set.
As I suspected. Any ideas on the ballpark price for a Sadowsky Tokyo RJ4? I love the look of the natural body and maple neck. Thanks, MATT
Hi! They're a little over 2K brand new. No comparison. The Sadowsky is top shelf. You should buy it for the preamp alone!! You'll love the bass. Just get it and you'll forget about looking around for a nice bass for many, many years!! Rob
