    Price:
    2,200
    Strings:
    5
    Location:
    New Hampshire
Up for sale only. Sadowsky UV70 5 string.

    Specs:

    Serial #M2181
    Ash body
    Maple Neck and Board
    Fretboard Binding
    White Block Inlays.
    70's Pick Up Spacing.
Sadowsky Single Coils Installed (Replaced Original HC Pick Ups)

    Full disclosure:
Small dent on top headstock (barely noticeable). Was there when I got it in trade.

Had to drill second strap button hole on front horn because original stripped out. Very easy to fill. I have just never gotten around to it because it is not even noticeable when a strap is on the bass.

Other than that it sounds and plays killer. This bass is a funk machine. But I recently purchased another Sadowsky and can't justify keeping both. It ships with the cheap gig bag that I received it with. I will pack it very well.

    Now $2,200 shipped (Continental US).

The single coils give this thing a real aggressive bark. I'll try to get some more pictures up and some sound clips up tomorrow or the next day.

Didn't have a chance to get to them last night. I will get some pics for sure and I may just use my TASCAM to record a few clips using the mic tonight.

No longer have the HC pups. I sold them separately a few months ago.

    Any noticeable fret wear?

Nothing that would I would consider "noticeable" fret wear. By that I mean that the bass is not in need of a refret, nor would I consider it to need a fret level. The action is low with no buzzes.

I'm mainly concerned about those dreaded little indents often found on the first 5 frets or so. You usually can't see them without bending the string out of the way.

Bump for insane grain! -- Just for future use, if a strap lock hole ever strips, get a toothpick, coat a third of it with Elmers glue, jam it in the hole and break it off. Replace the screw and it will never get loose again.

Thanks for the advice Jerry. Unfortunately the screw stripped out right after sound check before opening for Charlie Daniels and I didn't have much time / resources. So I found a sheet rock screw and away I went LOL. The Toothpick thing sounds like a good solution though :):bassist:

Matchsticks work great too for stripped screws too...
