Yea, I've done biz with Sonny a couple times. Straight up guy. He loves buying, selling, and trading nice gear. Thats about it. Probably dead mint. I wouldn't hesitate

    HI

I'm on Sadowsky #13 and none have had the vtc.

  9. I respectfully submit to your authority..... I've only had 72 hours to play with my #1 Sadowsky... in that time however.. the VTC has shown me to be the most useful knob on the bass. However...you certainly have much more experience with them than me, and I am sure they are great basses without it.

Yea. I just leave the settings on my amp pretty flat. I use the bass boost quite a bit and seldom find I need any treble boost. I was gonna get it on an order about 5 years ago. Roger asked me if I found myself dialing back the tone knob on my old Fenders. I said "no". He said "dont worry about it then" Simple as that. I've never even tried a vtc. LOL Maybe I am missing something. I thing another knob might make my head explode, though. LOL

Yeah the Bass control is where it is at for me as well but i do enjoy the VTC with the Bass control to darken and warm things up. :bassist:

i have found that rolling the hi's off with the vtc is altogether different than rolling off the treble knob- especially with maple boards ( my preference )
i insist on a passive tone control on any bass i consider- i need it, but that's just me. It really warms things up... on the Sadowsky, i find it indispensable, but again, that's just me, i like the tone rolled off a bit for a fingerstle sound.
Bikeplate, that's a beauty you are selling, man !

A Sadowsky 5 string Geddy Lee! GAS!!! Too bad I am majorly broke.:(

  17. Maybe he got it and realized that he didn't like it. I have played several Metro's, and I just don't get the hype. Compared to my Trace Elliot T-Bass, the Sadowsky sounds very thin with no punch, and every Metro I have played has absolutely no midrange. That's fine if you don't want to ever get the fingerstyle burp, but I vary my tone too much to sacrifice one whole segment of it.

I know it is hard to believe, but not everybody likes the Sadowsky. I've been asked to not bring my T-Bass back into my local shop that carries Sadowsky because it killed two sales on the spot.

I can't tell if the tablecloth has flowers or puppies on it.

Anyway, the bass is bad. The tablecloth is bad too, but a different kind of bad. A very different kind...
