    Hi

Up for sale is my Will Lee 4 string. I love the tone and playability but it's just a bit too heavy to be my main bass at 9lbs 6 onces. This was one of the prototypes built for Will. Pearl black metallic, solid ash body. Unique features are inlaid straplok pins and an ebony fretboard! Also has a matching painted headstock. Chrome hardware, black pearl guard, d tuner, single coils, Will Lee preamp, Sadowsky gig bag

These spec'd like mine are about $4800. Asking $3600 plus actual shipping Only trades I'd consider are 4 string Sadowsky's 8.5lbs or lighter. Ash bodies only

I'll post pics tomorrow. I'm out of town

How many prototypes did Sadowsky make of the Will Lee model?

    Hi

Lol. Yours has a maple fretboard, yes?

Rob at the shop said they put together a batch of basses for him. He kept a few he liked, the others were offered for sale

Yes to maple, must have chambered body real light weight.
Your ebony fretboard makes your bass look awesome, must have a great sound!

    Hi

I've struggled with wanting to sell it. Sounds huge. I've had two dozen Sadowsky's. This bass sounds great. Just can't handle the weight of it. Need to lighten up a pound or more. Sucks

I'm amazed at the sound of mine, wonder if they tweaked preamp even with mid-range! Maybe a 4" wide padded strap might help if you haven't tried one yet to offset the weight

    Hi

Using the Sadowsky strap. If it doesn't sell life goes on. I'd prefer a lighter bass. Hopefully it works out for me and whoever chooses to buy this will lee!

Have you asked Roger if he can chamber this body for you? Even if he won't any competent luthier can perform a "worming" route under the pickguard for a weight loss of around 1/2 to 1 lb. The black body can easily be dyed where routed and wouldn't require repainting
