Just took possession of a RV4 today.
All black with black pickguard, rosewood fingerboard, chrome hardware. I added a chrome front pick-up cover.

Just like this NYC one ('cept this doesn't have the cover):

That morado is a nice color. Is that a really dense wood or is it soft?

I know that feeling. My wife has me on a 2 bass limit...and I'm currently at 3. She knows about my Sadowsky and my P-bass, but I haven't been able to break the news about the MM Sterling I was able to pick up for $375. "But Honey, it was such a great deal" doesn't always work in my case. Enjoy the Sadowsky, I love mine....

Me too. My story is similiar. I bought a Q5 followed by an RV5 without clearing the way with the boss. She was really starting to get concerned I had lost all control, but I now have two listed on Ebay as we speak and the RV5 is staying.

A classic combo, congrats! My favorite combo if I weren't in love with natural/black guard/maple with that vintage tint finish.

Post picks with the bell cover. It adds to the classic looks.

    keep groooovin'

I love my Victor Bailey Jazz, it's by far the nicest 4 banger Fender puts out, but the Sadowsky 4 is closer to what I was looking for. A little more traditional sounding.
I did say that the VB was the only thing keeping me from getting a Sadowsky 4, but never playing them side by side I didn't pull the trigger on a Sadowsky 4.
Then Low Down Sound got in the RV4. In the color combo I liked to boot(Blackie!!)!
And the rest as they say, is history!
