I've been trying out several short-scale basses to deal with a shoulder problem. I've finally learned, though, that the problem is more the shoulder than the bass, so I'm selling this shortest of the short-scale basses. Would you believe this Samick Greg Bennett Mini-Corsair has a 24.75 scale, the same as a typical guitar! The bass is in great shape, with just a few small dings...the kind every bass gets eventually. Not only is the scale downsized, but the body is too. An average-size person looks huge with this thing strapped on. A pre-teen would feel quite comfortable with the size and weight. This would also make a great travel bass. I've found that the bass can use trimmed down regular roundwound strings with an E string up to .100 and still get a big, clear sound in regular EADG bass tuning. Currently, the bass is strung with black-coated rounds, but I'd be glad to give it a set of nickel roundwounds instead. The bass also includes a new Gator gigbag that was designed for mini-guitars. As you can see in the pics, the bass fits nicely in the bag. There weren't a lot of these made and they rarely come up here on TalkBass. $150 shipped CONUS.
