    Hi All,

I have a slightly unusual bass which I bought about 10 years ago, still really love, but am trying to find an accurate name and model for....

It's a Samick, at least it has a large 'S' on the headstock, and the guy in the shop said it was a Samick.

4 strings, 2 x active pickups, of the Bartolini soapbar shape, about 116 x 27mm.

24 fret neck, rosewood fretboard, maple neck and body, translucent red plastic over the body.

Backward canted headstock and machine heads, looking a bit like a double bass headstock.

4 control knobs: vol, tone, Nick/Bridge mix, sensitivity.

Can slap well, but also sound almost fretless with the sensitivity knob down to zero.

Can anyone help me define my bass please?

    Many thanks!

You'll need to post a picture. That's the only way.
