Helping a friend of mine sell this one. I don't know much about it, except that it's from the '90s. It's one of those basses that is much better quality than you might guess, but doesn't hold as much value because it's branded as a Samick. I guess the "Valley Arts Custom" designed ones were a step above regular Samicks from what I've read.

P/J setup, active. Cool semi-transparent finish, with a little wear but not bad. Quite a lot of tonal variety. Would be a good recording bass in my opinion. Looking for $225 obo plus actual shipping.

Bump - feel free to bring offers!

Might consider trades for a P bass of equal value, or even a P bass neck or parts if the price worked out.

Bump for a good deal. I remember BP very much liked the Valley Arts improvements in an old bargain bass shootout.

Thanks! Yeah, it really is a nice bass. Not very trendy looking in this age of retro-Fender everything, but awesome bang for the buck. Feel free to make offers!

    Weight?
    Scale length?
    String spacing at bridge?

Okay, my bathroom scale says exactly 9 lbs.

Width at the nut is 1 1/2 (like a Jazz), but it's not a super slim shredder neck - feels chunky in a nice way like a P bass to my hands. And I'm not really an expert at measuring string spacing at the bridge, but it looks to be about 18 mm maybe?

these are really nice sleeper basses, proof that not all (...just most) mass produced stuff in the 90's was poopiee. at around 2 bills, this would be a great bass for a kid or a retiree who wants to start a death metal thing.

If I wasn't selling that Squire to help someone out who needs some cash, I'd offer it to you for a trade in about 2 seconds or less.

Thanks! Yeah, it's a great bass for the money. And I'd do that trade in a minute too, but I'm helping a friend sell this one.

Where in the burbs are you exactly?
