    Are samick basses good i've never heard one played before or at least i don't think i have but i would like to know what the tone gualities iof these basses are

    The newer Samicks are actually a good value for the money. By newer I mean the "Greg Bennett" stuff. I used to own a Samick Fairlane 6-string and I was surprised at how good a quality of bass it was. I was ambivalent to try it at first since Samick is regarded as a "ghetto" company, but the bass was rather nice. The only reason I got rid of it was because a 6 was too much for me.

    I also really like the Cobra and Tabu basses.

    And remember, in ye olden days before Samick came out as their own brand, the Samick factory used to make instruments for companies like Ibanez. So chances are, many of us may have played basses from the Samick factory without realizing they were Samick.
