Any good bass shops in downtown San Francisco? Ill be there later today and wanted to know if theres anywhere worth dropping in :)

  2. nothing downtown.
the place on haight street is pretty good. i can't remember the name right now. it's tough to miss if you get in the right neighborhood though. just look for the stinky hippies.
  3. Guitar Center at Tenth and Mission is where
    I go when I'm downtown.

Otherwise Gelb Music in Redwood City.

Real Guitars is close to downtown and a few blocks down from GC. It's on Lafayette street, near Van Ness.
  5. Take a ride out to Gelb! You won't be disappointed. It's really the only high-end dealer in the Bay Area that I know of.
  6. where, exactly, is this "gelb"?

i get down to redwood city once every week or two... i can sneak away from work for a few minutes if it's worth it.

Gelb music is in Redwood City.

I didn't mention it because the thread asked for stores in SAN FRANCISCO!:p

That would be the Haight-Ashbury Music Center.
