    I custom ordered this bass and got it less than a month ago. Mint condition, I haven’t even taken the plastic off the pickguard yet. I have a lot of 5-strings. This is an awesome bass, but just not the right tone for me - I have a Sandberg MarloweDK 5 that has a more vintage tone that I prefer. Only bass with these specs they ever made that I know of:

    -California II VM5
    -Alder Body
    -black sparkle finish
    -5 String
    -35” scale
    -ebony fingerboard
    -block inlays
    -black hardware
    -standard California VM pickups (1 Sandberg splitcoil, 1 Sandberg power humbucker)
    - matching black headstock and back of neck
    - gig bag
    - 8.6 lbs on my bathroom scale
    - 1.75” nut width
    - 18mm string spacing at the bridge

    Holy Moly that thing is Gorgeous !!!!!!... what the heck is wrong with you making this available !!!!!!!.....you are killing me........can you elaborate more on the tone, how would you describe it?

    i know, right? I’ll make a video. Plays great, looks way cool. Kinda “modern” tone, similar to the Ida Nielsen bass of theirs. That didn’t last long in my collection, either.

    I have that same bass in a different finish. Plays and sounds fantastic, very full and responsive. That neck is so comfortable to play!

    I have both the VM-5 and the TM-5. Love the neck profile! Super comfy for me. And the slightly undersized body feels good, too. GLWTS.

    Thanks! I have a couple deals in the works for this bass, but both buyers get the needed funds in July, so... still available for now. Beautiful bass.
