I was reading an add in Reverb where an owner of a Sandberg Electra VS4 (P bass model) mentioned that by pulling the volume pot, it turned off the pre-amp for passive mode.
Mine is a little over 1 year old.
I've exchanged emails with Mike at Sandberg who explained that they discontiued that feature and that I could either install a switch or pot with a switch.
I have asked for a schematic but thought it might be easier to see if anyone has this model and can take a look at the circuit.

BTW, these Electra's had the wood fabricated in Korea and then assembled in Germany.
Super high quality for a great price.
None of the US dealers stock these anymore.
    Wonder what happened?

You've got to love Mike at Sandberg.
    Here's the schematic.
Can be done with a push/pull pot or a switch

Hello there, saw this post because I too am looking to add a simple switch to make the bass passive. Any chance you were able to figure out how to wire a switch in this schematic?
