I love this bass. It's awesome! but I need to downsize.

Sandberg VM5 Patchwork Bass exhibited at The 2019 NAMM Show

Each Sandberg Patchwork bass is a one-of-a-kind work of art. I don’t know how many they make per year, but each is completely custom built. It is truly a patchwork of basses. Even the hardware is patchwork, in different colors. This example plays and sounds amazing. It seemingly takes on the best of each of the individual woods. The tone is clear with great authority. Many tonal options with the Reverse P/MM setup. It’s also surprisingly light and comfy at 9.2lbs.

    • Body - Alder (tobacco burst), Ash(redburst), Alder(marley blue-aged) and Mahogany(with Zebrano top).
    • Neck - 34" scale length, one piece maple, 6-bolt
    • Fingerboard - Pau Ferro(Pearl blocks), Aged Maple(abalone dots), Ebony, Birdseye maple(ebony blocks)
    • Nut - 1 ¾”, zero fret
    • Bridge - adjustable 18mm-19.5mm
    • Preamp - sandberg 9v 2-band, active/passive
    • Dunlop strap lock pins
NAMM 2019 - This very bass is seen on the stage at the Sandberg booth, in full view, during the Ida Nielsen demo of her signature bass. Cool!

Includes a Sandberg Gig Bag in perfect condition.
Price includes shipping CONUS. Paypal is fine.

I’m open to trades but I’m mostly looking for a sale.

I wasn't sure till I saw the mismatched tuners, it's an original one of a kind.

Awesome! I rememeber seeing this the first time you posted it, amd I still think it's one of the coolest basses I've ever seen. I must have an organ or two I could sell.......

The double takes and strange looks on peoples faces when this comes out of the case must be priceless.
