I love sandwiches, how about you?

What's your favorite sandwich/some awesome sandwiches you've had recently?

Favorite sandwich spots in your city?

Mine is Sal's in Astoria. I present.... The Bomb:
Ham, turkey, salami, pepperoni, mortadella, american/swiss/and provolone cheese, lettuce, tomato, onion, roasted red peppers, dressing, mustard and mayo.
    A bit much, but delicious.

Pork roll egg and cheese. It don't look like much but dammit it's as addicting as crack...

If they can serve it with a defibrillator I'd be set..

ha ha it never occurred to me to take a picture of one. I love me a nice Monte Cristo. When I'm at home, my fave to make is:

    Fried egg
Two slices of a "pane" bread the local grocery store's bakery makes, butter and fry
    Cheddar cheese (extra sharp white)
    ham and turkey

Basically a grilled ham, turkey and cheese + fried egg. No condiments needed. Mmmm....

Yes. I love sandwiches. I am not a part of the gluten-free/carb-free movement.

French bread, italian bread, wheat bread, rye bread, everything bagel, or sourdough. The bread choice is half the battle.

    My favorite right now:
Capastrami® Hot pastrami, Swiss cheese, Russian Dressing, and cole slaw.
They also make one that's like xgiving dinner!
The Bobbie® Homemade Turkey, cranberry sauce, stuffing, and mayo.

Indeed. Some sandwiches just come together better when using particular breads.
    Sourdough is my favorite bread.

My lunch of choice the past couple months has been:

Open faced sandwich on toasted whole wheat seeded bread (homemade) with almond butter (so much better than peanut), fresh basil, roasted Italian sweet pepper, and heirloom tomato. Now that tomato season is pretty much over, I'm starting to worry about what to eat

Sandwich makes no sense to me here. A sandwich is 2 pieces of break with stuff in between. "Open Faced Sandwich" should just be called, bread with stuff on it. You don't even eat it like a sandwich. You must use a knife and fork instead of your hands and picking it up.

Mattern Sausage & Deli. A long standing old school traditional mom & pop German deli. They make all of the meats on site. So good.

No, I pick it up with my hands. The main reason I don't add a second piece of bread is because it is either too much bread or I slice it so thin that it breaks apart.
