    Hi all,
Here in the good ol' u.k. we have a chain of electronic component suppliers called "Maplin".
Whilst skimming through their catalogue I found this:
    "SC63T Guitar/Bass Preamp"
Basically it's a Complete 15 pin module that only needs external connections to Pots, jacks, power, switches etc.
    Soooo.....I bought one.
It'll run on any voltage between 9 and 18 volts.
I housed the whole lot in a plastic box about the size of a small paperback book (with a belt clip).
    You get:
    Master volume control
    3 band eq
    Bright/Deep switch
    Hi/Low sensitivity input(s)

    Sound good.......You Bet!
    This thing really rocks!
How much? £7.99 for the module (about 11 dollars)!!!!
About another £12 or so for the hardware (Jacks, pots, switches, box etc)
I'll post a jpeg of the completed one that I built as soon as I can figure out my way round the digital camera!
