Sansamp Bass Driver DI

    I'm looking to get one of these for Christmas. Right now they're about $189 with free power supply. My question is, is there a better preamp/DI for the same amount of money, or is the SansAmp the way to go?

    From what I've read, they're better than sliced bread. Do a search and there will be a copius amount of discussion on this very topic at your disposal.

    Also, they're $169 at www.bassnw.com

    ...and then $20 bucks for shipping and handling, right?

    Sure there are better quality Preamp/DI's out there but when you factor in price the Sansamp is hard to beat. Sadowsky just revamped their preamp to include a DI. Might be worth a look if you are after the Sadowsky sound.
