SansAmp GT-2 vs. BDDI

I'm trying to find the best solution for running my MIM Fender P-Bass to the PA for live performance. I've tried using my SansAmp GT-2 in the Tweed setting, but I get a low signal level, and actually get a much better signal level and better sound to my ears from my Behringer Ultra-G direct box.

Question: I know basically what features separate the SansAmp GT-2 from the Bass Driver Direct Inject, but are there any tonal differences that would make the BDDI worth considering? Or is it basically the same as the GT-2 tonally? TIA.
