    Hi,

I intent to try a sansamp bass driver to serve as a preamp direct into my power amp ... seems to be conflicting info about which is the best output connector to use ... some say they use xlr , others have stated that the 1/4 is the way to go.

Sooooo .... Of the two Sansamp BDDI outputs ...
Which is supplying a hotter signal ... the 1/4 out or the XLR out ?

    Thanks,
    John.

    The 1/4" is hotter.

I used to do the same thing. When I was driving my power amp with the XLR it never got nearly as loud.

The levels of the sansamp have to be way up to have the output to do that. And it doesn't work in bypass mode.
