I like the RBI it was only $100 more than DI, but is rack mountable, has "mids" control. more inputs and outputs options than BDDI. and hot topic of late...RBI has hotter output level if you plan to use it with a power amp, some people with the BDDI tried to use it with power amp but was not loud enough for input.

Although I sometimes wish I had just the BDDI for gigs where I didn't need to bring my rack and would only have needed the BDDI. probably work great for P.A. and recording situations. if you're willing to carry 5Lbs the RBI will do better.
  3. One really cool thing about the RBI (for me at least) is the second input on the back. I use this from my Korg tuners out, then I can use the tuners mute, which is handy, especially with the footswitch. So I just plug my bass into the tuner and there are no extra cords snaking around to the front. Keeps the rack neat.
